Deals at risk with rigid enterprise security requirements

Xavier Ruiz, CEO of Routal, saw a growing need for security compliance in their market. As Routal’s customer base grew, they were faced with a more rigid set of security requirements.

These larger contracts were at risk as Routal lacked a third-party assessment to demonstrate their commitment to security. As prospects began asking more detailed questions about their security posture, it became clear that in order to maintain customer trust and to work with larger enterprise companies, Routal would need a SOC 2 certification.  

Xavier explained, “People are beginning to be more cautious. Some issues have been found in the sector. So people are starting to value security, not just to have the badge, but because of the work that goes on behind the scenes in order to get it.”

As Routal continued with their SOC 2 preparation, the Thoropass platform provided templates for the necessary policies and procedures, which Routal was able to adapt to their specific business needs.
