As Thoropass continues to grow and expand its footprint in Europe & beyond (EMEA), the importance of visionary leadership becomes even more critical. We’re thrilled to introduce Andrew Lecocq, our new Head of EMEA, who brings a wealth of experience from a variety of sectors. With a career spanning industries and continents, Andrew is poised to take our EMEA operations to new heights.

From startup founder to corporate leader

Andrew’s career journey to date is a rich blend of corporate experience, startup ventures, and strategic leadership roles, giving him a truly unique perspective. Before earning an MBA from Duke University, Andrew gained valuable experience working with top-tier companies like CEB (now Gartner) and LexisNexis, where he built his client-facing and business development expertise.

His entrepreneurial spirit led him to London, where he founded and successfully sold his company, Hillgate, to Business Talent Group (BTG) in 2019. At BTG, Andrew took on the role of Head of EMEA, where he managed all operations outside the US until 2021.

After a brief venture launching a HealthTech company, Andrew returned to the corporate world, taking on a leadership role at Capgemini Invent, where he spearheaded large-scale operational transformations. This diverse blend of entrepreneurial and corporate experiences gives Andrew a unique advantage as he leads Thoropass’s EMEA operations.

A vision for Thoropass in EMEA

Andrew chose to join Thoropass for a simple reason: the company’s unparalleled combination of product, service, and people. “Most companies have one of  product, service, or people mastered,” he explains. “Good companies have two. Great companies have all three.”

Thoropass stood out to Andrew not just for its innovative product but also for its customer-first approach, driven by the experience of its founding team. Due to this rich breadth and depth of experience, Thoropass truly understands the challenges its customers face, allowing it to provide expert guidance and solutions tailored to their needs.

For Andrew, the level of care Thoropass provides its customers, particularly through its internal team of auditors and dedicated customer success managers (CSMs), is a game-changer.

“This level of care becomes a secret weapon for a startup as it retains customers and drives referrals for growth” – Andrew Lecocq

Why now is the time to focus on EMEA

Thoropass is already on a path to success in EMEA, but for Andrew, the real excitement lies in what’s to come. With a talented team already in place, Andrew is confident that the future holds great promise.

Joining the senior leadership team during this period of growth is an opportunity that Andrew describes as invigorating, “you can feel the positive energy and the desire to achieve big things across the team.”.

Advice for aspiring growth leaders

For other tech leaders looking to drive growth in high-potential markets, Andrew has simple but powerful advice: stay curious and have fun. “Learn how each part of the business works because it will become a superpower when you understand how the pieces fit together,” he says.

The journey, Andrew reminds us, is as important as the destination, and leaders who embrace the challenges and rewards of their role will thrive.

The road ahead for Thoropass in EMEA

As Andrew takes the reins of Thoropass’s EMEA operations, he’s particularly excited about building a brand and culture that resonates at a local level while maintaining the company’s global strengths. Andrew emphasizes how EMEA will put its unique stamp on Thoropass’s already robust offering.

With Andrew leading the charge in EMEA, the future looks bright for Thoropass in the region. His vision, experience, and passion for growth make him the perfect addition to Thoropass’ leadership team, and we’re excited to see how EMEA evolves under his guidance.
