Scam Hunters episode 9: The Hunter

In the latest Scam Hunters episode, aptly titled The Hunter, the lines between friend and foe blur as trust unravels in real-time. What starts as a seemingly straightforward partnership between Ezra, a cybersecurity expert seeking redemption (played by Greg Kinnear), and Heidi, an investigative journalist on the trail of a massive scam (played by Erin Moriarty), takes a dark and unexpected turn.

When Heidi goes silent, Ezra’s concern grows into an obsessive quest to uncover the truth. Through voicemail after voicemail, he paints a picture of growing paranoia and unanswered questions. What happened to Heidi? Why isn’t she responding? And what kind of danger might she be in?

But as the story unfolds, the hunter becomes the hunted, and Ezra discovers a chilling reality: not everything—or everyone—is as they seem.
